It's been a minute....

It's been a minute.... A lot has happened within a short amount of time. The big move has happened and it was quite the ordeal. Want to learn a little about yourself?? Pack up your life and move it from town to town... You won't be disappointed! I enrolled the Spawn in her new school today. Talk about an ordeal... Not only did I have to show two proofs of residency but I also had to consent to a home visit. Really?!? No joke, folks! Apparently the school in Bellaire is not a 'school of choice' school, which means you have to prove you live in the school district to attend. I'm currently waiting for the bus driver to stop by and introduce himself on his way home... Even with all the oddities involving the school, I have to say, I'm really loving this cute little town. The school tour went well and I'm excited for the Spawn to start her first day. The house is perfect and in a perfect location, sandwiched between three lakes and a short drive to Lake Michigan. The drive to and from work isn't even all that bad.... I get to listen to music and collect my thoughts every morning and every evening. In all, it was a much needed change at a very crucial time for me. Here's to new beginnings! |

It's amazing how friends will disappear when it's time to move. I try to do everything myself.

Moving home is stressful. I'm moving in a couple of months time. Packing up is okay - shove everything in a box - it's the unpacking that gets me down!

So far I'm feeling pretty good about this move. It's such a welcoming little town, I'm feeling so many positives.

Congrats on your move to your new place ! Always sucks to move and start over but exciting to no doubt ! Cheers to a new beginning for you and your young one I would say good luck ... But I don't think you need any ! You seem so very capable Enjoy your new beginning xoxo

It really did seem like it was time a big change for you (did you feel like you might’ve been going a little crazy, at times?). Sounds like it has been a good change, so far, and may get even better, as you find out more about your new digs. Hopefully the Spawn will be happy with her new school and circle of friends. Are you close enough that you can still see some (and definitely not all) of the folks around where you used to live? A different commute experience might be nice. At least ‘til winter …? You certainly have “earned” something good. Congrats, sweetie.

It really did seem like it was time a big change for you (did you feel like you might’ve been going a little crazy, at times?). Sounds like it has been a good change, so far, and may get even better, as you find out more about your new digs. Hopefully the Spawn will be happy with her new school and circle of friends. Are you close enough that you can still see some (and definitely not all) of the folks around where you used to live? A different commute experience might be nice. At least ‘til winter …?
