Just got home and hopped on Passion. Looking at some cams in IM and so far nothing but people that look miserable.
Cheer up, smile, it's the weekend! Chat, talk, get naked, do something!
I've never been called Mr. Sunshine but damn, someone needs to get these unhappy smirks off these faces.

Austin driving

Just want to say Austin driving blows. I have lived all over the U.S. and the last 10+ years here in the Austin area. Between the drivers and the road situation it will just about drive you nuts.
Most say it's because of the the people moving here from elsewhere. I can understand some of this but it does not excuse the road issue. The design is horrible and it's not just the interstate. I travel around a bit for work and general running the roads and the changes in the time I've been here have been getting worse.
On the north side, look at 620. When I moved out here, I had a job out on the other side of the lake while living in Round Rock. This is around 1997. You could get out there with no issues and didn't take forever. When out to the Oasis at the lake a couple of days ago and lord was it horrible. It seemed there was a traffic light every 50 feet now. Even the where the toll comes in 45 and 620, really 620 is a single lane with barriers as a final solution.
Speaking of the toll, it is great if you are just driving for the hell of it. As for getting anyone to work faster, it doesn't work unless you happen to live near 130 to begin with and work in East Austin. Getting to downtown or getting the trucker to bypass Austin it is definitely a no-go. I think it goes too far to the East. Especially since as an example, the Parmer exit is only a half mile from the 290 exit on the toll. It does work if you live north and need to get to the airport but it's going to cost you about $9 or so one way.
Since I don't live in the downtown area I really can't throw my two cents in there on their plight but the times I've been down there on the weekends, there are so many roads closed for random things you have to know the routes that are usually open. A friend down there said it is a pain in the ass but you get use to it because there is never a weekend without closures. His suggestion was just don't go out until afternoon and most is usually clear.
The road naming is another issue. Some roads around here have more than 5 names to them, confusing as hell. Guess that is why I see GPS in every other car I pass on the road here. Need it just to find their way home. Nothing like seeing the genius cut across four lanes to get that exit with less than 50 feet to spare lol.
Just ranting some since I spent the day on the road. Was out to Elgin and over to Arboretum then up to Georgetown. After enjoying the Sunday drivers doing 25+ miles per hour below the speed limit, I was done. I thought about it some before starting this post, and unfortunately most of this is an everyday thing for most driving around here. It's just sad. I didn't even get into the main part of Austin or South Austin which is bad with the growth out there too from what I've heard. Either way just a rant to get it off my mind.
