Well, Here we are again, It's March and for most of us we find ourselves asking where winter was this year.
Now save me all the obvious comments as I do watch the news and have seen some of the unbearable weather that some of you have had to deal with, not to mention flooding, freezing temperatures, and loads of snow, which I would take any day of the week as I truly love snow!
But this is not about the weather, just an update for anyone that might care and a couple more observations about our hospital system.
I went in on Wed. and had the 32 staples removed from my stomach which I must say was not one of the most pleasant things I've ever had to endure in my lifetime, especially when a medical student is doing the pulling!
Now I was told that my doctor had two students with him the day I was there, and had the choice of whether to allow them into the room or not, but I figured, how do you learn anything unless you see it first hand as one can only learn so much from books in the medical profession.
What I didn't expect was for the doctor to start pulling out the staples only to hand the torture device he was using over to one of the students and then told her how to pull the staples like she had never done it before. So between the two of them they tag teamed the rest of the staples all the while the doctor was trying to make small talk to me and instruct them at the same time. I'm guessing the small talk was to try and defer the fact that neither of them could pull a staple without it hurting or for that matter bleeding! I am a very patient and easy going type of person except when I've reached and gone beyond my threshold of pain which happened about half way through the procedure at which time I found myself saying things like "You're fired for that staple", "After this I guess we"re moving on to stitching? Right?", "Do you have ADD?, as it seems that you didn't pay much attention to the instructions!"
Now I know that wasn't probably very nice, but after all the pain that I've been through and am currently in, one reaches a point at which you really don't give a s**t what others think! The doctor though thought it was funny as all get out as I could hear him snickering and trying to be professional at the same time.
After everything was done I happened to get a glimpse of their handiwork before they covered it up and couldn't help myself one more time by saying, " Ahhh, Hey Doc, should there be this much blood running down my stomach?" which seemed to put the students into a tizzy thinking that they had caused more harm than good, but the doctor reassured them that all was well and that I was just not being very nice and to not listen to me! He told me that we were done period and gave me instructions on final care and of course if there was any problems to get back to him. So, one down and another to go on Monday! That one is so important to me as I still have a catheter in and it's been in for almost a month and I've got to tell you this has got to be the most uncomfortable situation I've ever been in! Especially when I've had to Goggle how to take care of it as I never received any instructions on how to care for it and just recently was told about the benefits of Oral gel as places had become raw and extremely painful which now are numbed and I can handle it! (Trying not to be graphic, but I think you understand)
All in all though I am getting better, slow and steady wins the race in this case!
There was one other problem that has come up, which I'm not sure was created by or is a byproduct of being in the hospital for a length of time, but I have almost no use of my right arm for which of course I'm right handed!
I saw my regular doctor last week and brought this up to him and showed him so he wrote me a prescription or an order for me to go to the hospital and get some X-ray's taken.
Now the last time that I needed to get X-ray's from the hospital I just walked in and went to radiology and handed them my orders and got X-rayed, but since we've become a sue happy nation one can no longer do that as I found out. (Now I know what those security guards are for!)
It seems as though you are not allowed to just run around the hospital going where you need to go without first checking in at the emergency or out-patient desk, followed by an interview checking to make sure that you are you and have insurance or some way to pay for whatever you are there for, which I thought was kind of stupid as I had just got out of there less than a week ago! So, after giving a blood, urine and stool sample to prove who I was, over-exaggeration, I was given more papers and then allowed to go get my X-ray's.
Now in some macabe way I do understand this but it just goes to show you one of two things: How streamline our medical system has become, or, How really scared, insecure, over-protective, and paperwork happy to protect their own asses, our medical profession is!
It's another product of those that want something for nothing and those who can't perform their job properly.

Well guy's,
I've been away for awhile, most of it due to work, never ending, and a lot due to a emergency surgery which came completely out of left field, which I suppose I should have seen coming as that's where I play most of the time anyway, which has left me weak with 32 staples in me,, no muscle mass to speak of and stomach muscles which are pretty much worthless right now.
So your asking yourself, "How's he writing this?, with all the pain and weakness it's pretty easy with "MR. Pain Killer"!
Which brings me to the topic of today which is health care and hospitals, and our fine men and women who work at these faculties.
Now really I don't have very many negative things to say as they all did their job keeping me alive and on the mend, but I have a few questions and queries.
Who is the complete idiot who said that the hospital is the best place to get rest? Why in the hell do the nurse's sneak up on you in the middle of the night and scare the holy crap out of you when your sound asleep?
Why do the people who take your blood look like those you see on Walking Dead and why do they get such joy out of finding a vein to drain?
Did I really need ALL of those tests or for that matter the cornucopia of IV bags that I went through in the 11 day's I was there?
I'm guessing that the answers to these questions are pretty easy but I have my own warped view as you should know by now.
You know, I was in surgery for 6 hrs, which of course I have no recollection of, to repair some internal problems and it seemed that I hadn't really even come out of the anesthetic when it began, the poking, prodding, the sticking and of course the non-stop "Gotta take your blood pressure, oxygen level, temperature, and blood sugar" which seemed to be on a every half hour schedule, so when I would finally drift off to sleep it seemed that I would open my eyes to somebody standing there ready to do something to me! Now I know that there is protocol which is followed after a major surgery, but even with me floating in the morphine clouds I could still feel their presence. After awhile and I was able to sit up and that is when I took my defensive posture and slept sitting up, ever vigilant waiting for that inevitable person to walk through the door. It wasn't until I came home and a few day's later and realizing that no one was coming to bother me was the night that I actually slept without the help of A LOT OF MORPHINE!
I still can't sleep for more than a few hours at a time and I really hope that changes here real soon!!!! Hospital conditioning, a catheter, and a lot of pain also contributes I'm sure!
I do have to give it up though to those people who take your blood for the mysterious blood tests that you never hear the results to! Hmmmmm!
They're pretty damn good at what they do I have to admit, but why do they all look like the Bride of Dracula or part of his un-dead army?
I swear! and there was no Morphine involved! And they only came at night which I always found kind of odd and said things like "hear to take your blood", like they were there to sit and chat or something as it was 3:00 in the fking morning when any normal person would be asleep! But at least they were quick about it and I could go back to sleep just long enough for, You guessed it, "Here to take your vital signs" I have no feeling in the tips of two of my fingers from all the pricking for sugar tests! Bastards anyway!!!
Now I was a really sick puppy and realize that it was going to take a lot of antibiotics, saline solution and what have you to help keep me from getting sicker but, I never knew just how much the liver could withstand all the different things that were going into my body! At one time the IV pole looked like some kind of weird Christmas Tree with all the different colored bags full of liquids! It's not a wonder that they put that thing behind the bed so you can't see it as it is really kind of freaky! There was one point that the nurse actually had to combine 4-5 bags on a hook so she could add some more and me laying there wondering to myself what my poor liver was thinking not to mention that I was on a water only diet and I don't mean water to drink but to suck on to keep my mouth moist! I'm still kind of wondering if it's OK but I'm guessing that if it wasn't I wouldn't be here!
Test after test, doing this and that, and all the while seeing the doctor for all of about 2 Min's each day! Man I wish I could get paid like that!
There was this one shot that they started to give me which was to help keep me from catching pneumonia, but they always seemed to have to give it to me in the stomach which made me really sick and I kept telling them this and it wasn't until a really nice nurse actually stopped and listened to what I was saying before they started giving me the shot in the arm or leg, which wasn't all the time. My point being that towards the end of my stay and they wanted me to start eating solid foods, they always brought me food along with that fking shot which of course made me sick to my stomach and killed what appetite I had which would get me into trouble because I wasn't eating! GO FIGURE! I told them time and time again about the shot but no one seemed to want to listen! The final straw was the day that I decided that I had had enough of the hospital experience and needed to go home and get so rest after they had brought in this beautiful plate of scrambled eggs, french toast, and a piece of ham which I was all ready to see how much I could eat until I felt that queasy feeling in my stomach as the nurse was now giving me that shot into my IV! I was SO PISSED that I told her that I wanted to see whoever was in charge as I was leaving and had enough!
Of course the Dr. was trying to calm me down but I was not going to have any of it as I explained what had been happening and that I was cleared by both my doctors to go home and to immediately discharge me to which after humming and hoeing around finally happened , but not till after lunch which again pissed me off as I was kept waiting so they could keep me there and charge me for the full day!!!
BASTARDS ANYWAY!!!!
I have rambled on and on I know, but my ultimate point is this; While we have some of the best doctors, nurses, hospital's and medicine in the world, we still have failed on the communication, execution, and over all well being of the patient turning what should be the best place to go to rest and recouporate and heal to a how much can we bilk the insurance company, and what I think doesn't seem to matter even though it's my body and I should have a say of how it's being taken care of!
Now that might sound harsh, but it is a fact and while I thank all the people who helped me in my time of need and continue to help as I heal the bottom line is this: While I'm not an expert, It is my body and I should have a say in how it is being taken care of and those that are in charge should listen, take notice and when able to do everything in their power to help instead of dictate because once again it is MY BODY AND I ONLY HAVE ONE! RIGHT???

Why does Santa smell like Axe Body wash and Jack Daniel's? And why is He always on break? I mean, I understand that sitting for a long period of time and listening to repeat the same thing over and over takes its toll but hey, Man-up and take it like a man! You only work one day out of the year! Damn!!
And would someone please explain to me why there are people trying to give me samples of things I didn't ask for or want? I thought NO meant NO but apparently during the Holiday's it means chase me down and force it on me!!! Do these people get paid by how many samples they give out?
Where did all these Jewelery stores come from? And why is there a guy dressed up like a cell phone in front it? Shouldn't he be farther down the mall closer to his own kind??
What did you people do with my Orange Julius store? It's missing for some unknown reason and been replaced by a store that smells like a slaughterhouse! Since when do we kill and wrap beef in the mall?
What the hell happened to Hickory Farms? It went from being in a storefront to hiding in a far corner alcove but after seeing their prices for you get I can see why!!!
And can someone tell me where all the truancy officer's are because last I knew, school wasn't out yet and there are way too many here for a Monday!!!
Crap, Crap, and more Crap, as far as the eye can see! You can barely get around it all without it sucking you in to stop and admire the pretty pictures and whip out your wallet!
I love this time of year!!! And I just came here for a pair of shoes!
All I can say is, "I would strongly suggest that you get the hell out of MY massage chair, I put a dollar into it and only got up because I thought I saw the Orange Julius Stand!"

Sorry I've been lax in posting and my excuse is simple, I'm working too fu##ing much!!! I don't know who I pissed off but since I've gotten back from vacation I've had one day off and am currently in the middle of a 20 day straight stint!
Sure you say, the money will be great and you would be correct except for the fact that you have to be coherent to spend money and have a good time with it and right now I'm staring at a blank Television screen because I forgot to turn it on and that was 3 hours ago!!! Now it's time to go take a bath and go to bed and get ready for round who the hell knows! I think my Kia can now navigate without my assistance as sometimes it seems like I wake up and I'm sitting in the parking lot at work not knowing how I got there!!! At least my clothes are changed and I smell like I took a shower! Beats the hell out of me!!!
Maybe I need another vacation!!!
Oh well, No rest for the weary or was that you can sleep when your dead? I can't remember!!
I shall return! I think!!!

Well, that was a well deserved vacation and now that it's over and I had to go to work yet again it gives me the opportunity to look back and reminisce.
Being fairly late October and the temperature in the low 70's makes me wonder what winter has in store. Where I live, fall turns into winter in a blink of an eye! Sure the leaves start to turn and fall and the mornings are cooler and colder, but generally in a couple of weeks old man winter sticks his head out and lets us know he is here!
I used to like this time of year, and still do, as being a few pounds over-weight, OK 30 lbs, afforded me that extra insulation that kept me warm on those cold winter night's!! Now, that I've lost 40 Lbs, still having a hard time believing that, I run around the house dressed like an Eskimo and freezing all the time! Sure, turn up the heat you would say, but that costs an arm and a leg all of which I need at the moment and with the daytime temperatures in the 70's it's more like spring than fall, until of course the sun goes down.
So I'm content at the moment in my sweats, socks, fuzzy slippers, and heavy robe and sleeping under a cornucopia of blankets and of course one of which is electric!
Working early mornings doesn't help much either as I have to drag myself out from under the warmth that is my Fortress of Solitude and quickly getting coffee made, showered, and dressed all before my body and brain figures out that it's cold! Which never happens! Not to mention going outside to warm up the car! I know, some of you lucky people just stand and push a button in the warmth of your house and start your car to which I must say, Bravo! You have a car payment! For the rest of us it's scrape, scrape and freeze!
Well, I've completely lost my train of thought, which for me is pretty easy especially when I'm cold!!!
So, enjoy the weather while you can because pretty soon we'll all have cabin fever and bitching about having to shovel snow!
Even Lady Liberty is getting into the act....!!!!!

Hi Everyone!
Once again back from Deaths door and escaping the Reapers grasp! You know, I'm not an evil person but because of getting sick at the hands of others who refuse to stay home, I really wish that I could some how bottle the pneumonia I've been battling and take it to work and sprinkle it on their food and say, "Back at you Asshole!!!" 'Have a nice day and Bon Appetite!!" Just kidding! No I'm not!!
Well, It's vacation time once again and I'm going to pack up my gross of Kleenex's and head back to the Coast and see if maybe the salt air will help get rid of this shit!! I guess there is a silver lining to all of this as I've lost 40 lbs.! Not exactly the way I wanted to lose it but hey whatever works right?
My only problem is that now I have no clothes to wear and I look like all the guys that I bitched about with their pants down around their ankles!
My shirts now resemble dresses which would be OK if I was a Cross Dresser. I suppose that's one way of getting around not buying new clothes, just spend half the money on make-up and nylons and call it a day! Besides, no one knows who I am where I'm going and when I get to the Hotel I can say that a mistake was made and on the room reservation and it should have been under the name of Rachael! Don't worry about the picture on my license, it hasn't expired yet and really that's Me!
In this day and age it probably would work and no one would bat an eye!
Well, I'll keep up the entertainment as the trusty old Laptop is going with me, besides I have to keep up on who's looking at me and not responding. I cleaned out my message center the other day and counted 25 emails that I sent to others who never responded! WHAT"
'S UP WITH THAT??

Hey guy's!!
Sorry I've taken a little break from entertaining you to try desperately to recover from Pneumonia. It's really hard to be good company when everything pisses you off and you have no patients and can't breathe! That's the only thing I dislike about this time of year as I always catch a cold and it immediately goes into Pneumonia! Years ago when I worked in Alaska I caught Walking Pneumonia and had it unknowingly for 6 months and it almost killed me and ever since, anytime I get sick it becomes a race to get enough antibiotics in me before whatever it is gets into my lungs.
This is a lesson to you that still smoke cigarettes, quit before shit like this happens to you!!
I quit 10 years ago and it was the hardest thing I've ever done, but the smartest thing as well. Unfortunately, The damage is done and I have to live with it but it's not as bad as it could have been had I not quit!
I'm not on any soapbox and understand and respect those that still smoke as it is one of the hardest things to quit, Just sharing!
But anyway, with all the crap that's going on, between the crooks in Washington D.C. not doing their jobs, the cost of living continuing to rise while my paycheck stays the same, and the impending requirement to have Health Insurance, and all the whack jobs running amok, and finally, all the Fakes, Wanna Be's, Pretenders, and Picture Takers that hangout on this site,
I just kind of feel this way today! Hopefully some of you feel the same way too!

Sorry folks, I put the wrong picture with last night's Post, That's the reason I don't talk Politics as I get all riled up and can't think straight, not that I do in the first place! I fixed it so if you read this, take a look at that as I found it hilarious and pertinent to this Site!
Well now, It being October means that it's Christmas time? When did we start skipping holiday's and moving straight into Christmas? Granted, Halloween is technically not a "Holiday", but don't tell that to the ! Although, the past couple of years I've been getting less and less Trick or Treating. Probably due to the fact they've outgrown it or the Parents just don't want to go through all the trouble!
Thanksgiving anymore has become less of a face stuffing holiday and more of a day for watching Sport's and strateging for Black Friday. Which to me, is such a shame as there is nothing like a huge spread of food with good friends and family, providing they all get along, and eating until you feel the need to change into sweatpants before the pie is served. That is of course unless you already came in sweatpants in which case you came prepared and obviously are a veteran of many Thanksgiving Day Feasts!
This though is not about that, but I will touch on that holiday a little later on as it gets nearer.
I realize that companies will do anything to improve profits and the bottom line, but I've always felt as though that preying on our impulses and trying to scare us into buying early as not to miss out on the big new thing is wrong in principle. Good for business but bad for P.R. in my book and I refuse to buy any Christmas items from any company that advertises or displays before Halloween is over, Which anymore is all of them!
That of course forces me to buy Christmas gifts throughout the year which make me a hypocrite! It's not my fault, I just refuse to give in to them and allow them to push me into a Christmas state of mind, when I would much rather be in a "Fun Size" state of bliss! And then start shopping for some designer sweatpants to wear to dinner on Thanksgiving! (Shouldn't have said anything negative about those Jean sweats, as they're starting to look pretty good!) Just kidding!
After Thanksgiving Day, then and only then do I want to hear about what's new for Christmas, but alas it is not to be anymore, instead, somewhere around July we are subliminally forced into a semi-state of Christmas cheer? Wow, it works!
And then the day after Thanksgiving comes the day that they plan and strategies for all year; Black Friday! Not so much anymore really, as the stores took all the fun out of watching people make complete fools out of themselves over a television or Barbie Doll! Ahhh those were the day's! I used to get up and go, just to watch the carnage and aftermath and if you know me, sell souvenir picture with captions like: "I got trampled, punched and kicked , but by god I got what I came for and it was worth it!", or an oldie but goody, "Touch that Lady and I'll come to your house and burn it to the ground, Merry Christmas!"
And the place to be was always Walmart! There is nothing like seeing a retired 65 yr. old dressed in riot gear being coaxed to open the front door by the store Manager who is standing off to the side out of harms way. As a matter of fact, I believe all the employees were up in the employee break room until the first mad rush was over and it was safe to go to work without fear of being trampled by an angry mob whose been waiting for the doors to open for hours on end!
Now, if you really have to get it, you can wait in line and they come out and ask you what your after and then give you vouchers to purchase the items. How's a person suppose to release all that Christmas Spirit that has been pent up since July??? and besides that they've taken away my free entertainment and any need to get up early! Oh sure, you hear about the occasional mad rush, but there is something to be said about witnessing it first hand!!!! And anyone that has been through it and has the battle scars to prove it know what I'm talking about!!
For the rest of you, It's boiled down to Cyber-Monday, and where's the fun in that???
I know, I'm a sad individual, but that's what happens when you've been alone too long!!! Someone wanna help???

OMG, I feel so much better both health wise and otherwise! But I have a simple question: Why is it so hard to find a boyfriend or at least some one that is a steady partner? Are relationships things of the past? Am I too old? I don't know the answers to the first two , but the answer to the last one is NO! I'm a VERY young 54 with an extremely high sex drive which seems to be rare from what I've seen! Oh well, I'll just keep looking and in the mean time try and entertain you in the process!
OK, I've sidestepped, avoided, ignored, and basically turned my back on the subject of Politics but due to the latest fiasco in Washington D.C. I can no longer hold it in!!!
While I believe that we are responsible for the problems that befall us, because we elect these idiots. It is their JOB to do things in OUR best interests! I don't know about you, but if I don't do my job then I'll get fired, and that is , in my opinion what should happen in D.C., except they ALL need to go! I've always believed that the Senate and House should be elected every year as then possibly things may get done for fear of losing their seat. Republican or Democrat it doesn't matter as neither one gives a rats ass about us and has forgotten that we are what is important!
Who ever heard of a Government shutting down? That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of in my life! Our founding father's would roll over in their grave if they knew what was going on!
And, to make matter's worse is that the fact that these assholes aren't in any hurry to do anything because even if the Government shuts down, they still get paid!!!! What in the hell is up with that???
That's like the place that I work at closing and then I still get paid and we all know that's never going to happen!
It is my belief that until the people of this country stand up and unite in one voice and say ENOUGH, and hold the leaders accountable for their actions, or in this case in-actions, that thing are going to get nothing but worse!
Now, I'm not affiliated with any group of any kind and not associated with either party or any other for that matter and I vote just like you do, so I feel as though I have an opinion and am just expressing it!
Until ALL MONEY is taken out of politics, the good for the common person will never take place as it is all too easy to look the other way for a few dollars as well shown by our current leader's!!
That felt good!!!!! Right or wrong, that's just my opinion!!!

Well, I made it through the week and have the next couple of day's to recover and take it easy, so I thought I'd share a couple of things with you!
I have to take pity on those poor individuals that spent the years that it takes not only going to school, but interning and then finally getting their big break, just to take it on the chin day after day as they try so desperately to predict the weather! These poor souls don't have a chance or for that matter a clue as you and I can get up and look in any direction and pretty much tell what's going to happen on that particular day as far as weather is concerned! And to think they rely on all those fancy do-dads, and thing-a-ma-bobs, and of course, computer models to make their guesses, and that is precisely what they are as no matter what they may say, weather prediction is not a science. Meteorology is a science, weather predicting is a educated guess at best! Whoever thought that one could ever get paid to make "Educated guesses" about something that no one has any control over??? I'm in the wrong profession cause our weatherperson drives a BMW and can't predict shit! From the middle of November through the end of February it's always going to snow, and I guess if you always keep that in you forecast, you'll eventually be right and be able to say I told you so! In summer they say it's going to be hot, "Well, No shit Sherlock!", it doesn't take a genius to figure that one out and what's the difference between 92 and 98? It's Hot!! Like my body knows the difference between 6 degrees when I'm already a ball of sweat!
I do though, feel their pain, but wish though I had a BMW and a guessing job! I have a tie!!
The other thing is, when did this site start allowing it's member's to publicly themselves out? I know that this is a "Dating", yea right, site but I thought that wasn't allowed? Here I've been all by myself, when all this time I could have been pimping myself to the general membership through my Status Updates! Oh well, Knowing my luck, they'd just get deleted anyway!!

I really didn't have much to say today as it's hard to think and type when I'm ill so I'll just leave you with this as it is part of my Credo and how I feel most of the time when I'm dealing with rude people, inconsiderate asses, and those who think their crap doesn't stink and are better than others! When in all actuality they are no more than tiny and insignificant specks of dirt that, with a wisp of wind disappear and are quickly forgotten! Wow, Where did that come from?

You know, Thank god for cold medicine! If it wasn't for that I think I would have had a coronary attack when I got the bill for my brakes!
It's amazing how that stuff makes you not really care about too awful much, especially when your counting out hundred dollar bills! I knew it was going to be expensive, but almost $500.00!! Granted they are lifetime brakes, and if any part ever fails there is a lifetime part replacement along with free towing and no Labor cost's, but still!
I'm really not complaining though, as it's better than hoping the vehicle will stop and down-shifting to slow down and stop! Oh well, whatcha gonna do?
It's one of those repairs that one has no choice in making especially since in two weeks I'm going on vacation again and am headed back to the coast, just this time, a place I haven't been to since I was nineteen, Lincoln City Or. I'm Looking forward to it except for the fact that the hotel I booked is right next to a Casino!
Now, I don't have a gambling problem, (it's only a problem if you lose,)
and every time I hit a Casino I leave with quite a bit more money than I walked in with, but the only problem is that the game I play takes hours to win at, which is Craps.
Most people really don't know how to play the game and just either watch or only bet when they are the shooter or have the dice. I on the other hand constantly bet no matter who is throwing the dice. My problem is that I wont bet big because I don't want to lose a lot of money all at once, so I bet a lot of small bets that have small returns when I win, hence the time that it takes to make any substantial gains or money is great.
I usually never leave with less than $1,500.00-$2,000.00 but that's 12-14 hrs later which is a great return on the time spent, but when on vacation it seems like time wasted because I have to sleep and lose about a full day and a half of vacation time which is a lot when your not going to be somewhere for very long! So I'm in a quandary over this as I can always go to a Casino but can't always get to Lincoln City!
The up-coming vacation was originally planned as a gambling vacation and I was going to go to a new Casino in Tulalip Wa. but decided instead to go to the coast again as it is my favorite place to be.
I know, Poor little boy, doesn't know what to do! Some might say, why don't you go to the Casino but set a time limit? and that would be a great idea if I could make myself leave when I'm in the middle of winning which is next to impossible!, Sounds like a problem, Huh? Really though it's not, as I don't get out all that often or very little and only really let lose when I'm on vacation. That's why I take 30 day's off a year all split up which I don't get paid for either.
I've knocked on wood writing this not to offend the gambling gods and most likely will stay out of the Casino, but it's really hard when you know that for 12-14 hrs of your time you can make so much money!
The funny thing about this is that I just found out about the Casino being next door otherwise I probably wouldn't care but with it being within walking distance it's kind of sent me into a tizzy!!
I know, Maybe I'll fax a copy of my picture to the security department of the Casino with a caption "I'm in a tizzy, Whatever you do don't allow this person on the premises as He's on vacation!!"
Yep, That should take care of it!!!! Problem solved!!

As summer is winding down, now is the time, in my little neck of the woods, where the temperature changes are the greatest between day and night, which makes it easier to catch a cold or worse the flu. To make matter's worse, it seems that is accepted behavior to come to work when you are sick, greatly increasing the chance of others, mainly ME, contracting whatever airborne virus they happen to be afflicted with.
And now thanks to a few of some, what I feel are selfish individuals, I sit here behind this keyboard, Hacking, wheezing, coughing, feeling like total crap, with my box of tissues and a cup of hot Lemon and Honey Tea by my side, and a voice, when you can hear it sounding like Gilda Radner's SNL character Rosy Rosanna danna! Boy, am I dating myself with that one!
Too make matter's worse, I had to take my vehicle in for front brakes this morning which I will address in a minute!
I understand the fact that we all have to work to pay the bills, or at least most of us anyway, and a lot of us are not afforded paid sick day's, me included, but if I've learned anything from Hollywood, it's Stay the F@#K HOME when you are sick! That's how shit gets started!
Hasn't anyone seen "Outbreak", or "Contagion", Or pick any numerous of disastrous illness movies!
See, Hollywood CAN teach you something!
Now, I realize that anything made by man or womankind will eventually breakdown and need to be fixed during the life span of whatever it may be especially if there are a lot of moving part's, Mainly automobiles, but why do things have to go to hell all at once? Did I do something in another life to deserve all the crap that seems to happen to me? Or is it I just buy crap in the first place?
It seems to me that after 1987 cars became a throw away item much like appliances and electronics. I don't mean that in a literal way, but I think you grasp what I'm saying. You don't fix a DVD player anymore as it cost more to fix it than the original purchase price. Same goes for some Major and almost all small appliances. The same could be said about car's as repair bills, can and most often do, run above what you paid for the vehicle, which is my case.
I own a little KIA Sportage mid size SUV which I dearly love but the damn thing has cost me more money in repairs than I care to mention and has exceeded what I actually paid for the vehicle in the first place, which has put me into the position of having to keep it as I will never get what I have put into it back if I was to sell it or trade it in.
Now, there is no one to blame but myself, as I have become attached and enamored with it and in time I figure I'll have a new vehicle at this rate because unless you have an excellent credit score, and a huge down payment, or are willing to spend what it would cost to buy a 4 bdrm manufactured home, Used, you're stuck with what you currently own or trade it in on somebody else's problem! Not to say that there aren't good quality used car's on the market, but remember the word, USED!
I'm getting off wherever I was going with this, due to probably the cold medicine!
My point, I think, is that when you need to have your vehicle repaired no matter how old it is that repair shops have you at their mercy and they know it! I mean, Do you have all the necessary tools and electronic equipment to diagnose and then fix something, that at least for me, that has so many hoses. wires, and the such, that the only thing I can identify is where to put in the washer fluid or oil?
The answer is NO! So we are like a flock of sheep, being lead in any direction wherever the auto manufactures and gasoline producers wish to send us.
Wow, This cold medicine is really good!!
Anyway, I took my KIA in for brakes, to the same guy who always works on it and tries to do me a solid with pricing, and was quoted $287.00 there bout's, but I just got a call and now the price is closer to $350.00! Holy Shit, They better be lifetime brakes and possibly come with some mutual masturbation as I feel as though I'm getting taken advantage of and not even being kissed in the process!
Thank God for the cold medicine as I could really get upset, instead I'm sitting here laughing, or is it more crying? Not sure, but I think I need a nap!!
My Mom always said; "If you want to play, you have to pay the Piper". Now I don't have a clue what that meant, then or now, but I'm sure it applies somehow!
