 Although the original electric version is high-energy and perfect for arena-scale concerts, I am partial to the unplugged version.

I find a touch of irony in knowing that Dave Grohl was inspired to write the lyrics by an artist ( Louise Post of Veruca Salt) with whom he fell in love (allegedly 45 minutes after meeting her) on the rebound from a recent divorce. A year later, Grohl dumped Post (by telephone) so he could start dating Winona Ryder.

Happily you do not have to "walk the talk" in order to be a great lyricist and performer.
