Hi, I am 42 years of age, (but that sounds old to me... at heart, I am 25, just a big :-)), caucasian of german descent (but I am NOT arrogant :-)), with fair skin, dark brown hair, brown eyes and athletic build. In short I would describe myself as: intelligent, passionate with a sense of humour, family oriented (true cancerian), strong character, stable I used to be very much an introvert, and I still am a pretty quiet person and I like to listen to people rather than talk myself, but I don't think I am an introvert anymore. While overseas I did odd jobs to earn foreign currency... In Switzerland I was a hotel porter, and in Germany I took photographs of people at the Oktober Beerfest in Munich, and then offered the photographs for sale... I love backpacking and travelling, meeting new people, learning about different cultures and being educated by the world. I speak english, german and Afrikaans, which is close to dutch. I also speak some french and would like to learn spanish properly! Speaking German was definitely an advantage and I thank my parents for that. Both of them are german and immigrated to South Africa in the 60's. In true cancerian style I place a lot of emphasis on family and I am extremely affectionate when I find someone deserving of that. BTW my favourite time of year is definitely Christmas. I don't believe in Star signs, but I do find them interesting. According to chinese star signs, I am born in the year of the dog, but I think I am more of a puppy...... Except when I am upset.... Then I am a Rottweiler :-), but I also believe the sun should never set apon an argument. I love pets, but I don't like cats so much... We always had 4 dogs at home... Unfortunately I can't have dogs now because I am living in a flat, and I hate it when people have big dogs without gardens or worse still chain up the in an underground garage. I love music, but people tell me I shouldn't give up my day job when I start singing :-) and I love dancing (have done some ballroom and latin-american). I love the outdoors, the beach, the mountains, snow-boarding and water sports.... and I would like to meet someone attractive and more importantly, fit and active. It's not necessary being a sport's nut, but I don't usually waste a whole weekend in front of the TV watching others live their dreams. I want to be living my own. That's enough for now... now it's your turn ... and I want all the dirt ;-) ...
