UPDATE 10/07: I am not actively participating as of this time due to personal reasons, but will keep a profile here in case things change in the future. ---------------------- Unlike most others, I’m not here to look for sex…well, not primarily. I’m here to find local lifestyle friends, and if anything else happens along the way, all the better. I have experience in the lifestyle and am bi, so meeting people in the normal venues makes for awkward times when it comes time to share experiences. Hence my profile here. People here are usually open minded and enjoy the same things. In order to weed out those who are looking for specific things, I’ll tell you a lot about me, what makes me tick, and what I am and am not looking for. Giving all this info up front will certainly help you decide if contacting me would be worth your time or not. So here goes: I’m not seeing anyone right now, and don’t really know if I want a LTR (but the door isn’t closed yet), but I am definitely looking to meeting others for friendship, dinner dates, going to the movies or the beach, or just sitting around watching TV. Could be a guy or a gal since I like both. Chemistry is very important to me as are mutual interests. No matter how good everything looks on paper or over the phone, there is still the face-to-face experience, which will tell all. Experience has taught me it’s best to meet first in a casual, non-sexual manner, to just chat and get to know each other. Anything after that will be determined by how the first meeting goes. I mentioned wanting to meet local people. And by local, I mean local. I don’t want to drive 50 miles for a drink. Spontaneity is very important as well, so if, at the last minute, we want to do something, we can if we’re local. More about me: I’m almost 55, but no one guesses me that old. Most say mid 40’s. When I look at profile pics of others my age, they look so old! My mindset is so much younger as well. I simply get along better with people younger than myself, so that is generally what I’m looking for in new friends. I’m 5’5, and am on the curvy side but carry it well (about 175# - 36D). I have long light brown hair, hazel eyes and dimples. :-) By day I work in the real estate/financial industry, and in the evening I’m usually a homebody. I currently rent a home with family members (no option to entertain at home), but look forward to having my own place soon. I enjoy watching TV - lots of it (thank god for DVRs!). But I’m always doing something at the same time, usually on the internet or projects for work. I can’t just sit there and do nothing because I like to be productive. I also like to cook, sew, knit, crochet, and lots of other domestic stuff. I am a very simple, low maintenance gal. I’m not a girly girl and don’t wear makeup or have my nails done. I’m more comfortable in jeans and crocs. I was a hippy chick back in the early ‘70s and still enjoy the simple lifestyle. I’m into natural food, no sugar (well, I try my best most of the time), no processed foods or white flour and the like. Despite that, I’m not an exercise junkie. I enjoy the occasional walk, but just can’t get into going to the gym. I’m also not really into sports, although I do understand most of them, and have been known to watch a few baseball games (how ‘bout them Dodgers?). I have a great sense of humor, and would hope for that in you as well. I am not interested in politics, but do enjoy a good intellectual conversation. I am spiritual but not religious, and like anything metaphysical. Being very open minded, I also love a good conspiracy theory (UFOs, 9-11, governmental control etc.) so bring your thoughts. My musical tastes are very simple. I am a rocker. A hard rocker. Give me groups like Metallica, Godsmack, and Disturbed. I do love the classics as well, and have been known to listen to the alternative ‘80s like Tears for Fears, REM, OMD etc. But I do not like country, blues, jazz, or pop music like Britney or Mariah. I just went to the Nickelback/Three Days Grace/Breaking Benjamin concert, which totally rocked. Oh…I am also a rock drummer and have my own kit. I don’t have it set up as there’s no room in my place right now for it. I have been drumming since I was 16 (untrained – no lessons), and have a natural ear for it. So when there’s music playing, I’m tapping and thumping on anything I can get my hands & feet on. My lifestyle experience started in 1999 with the fellow I was seeing at the time. I was able to explore my bi curiosity and we did everything from being with one other person up to a big party with 18 couples, and everything in between. I’ve also been the 3rd with other couples. We initiated several newbie couples into the lifestyle (me giving the gal her first bi experience), so I do have lots of stories to share. However, I have been out of the active lifestyle for over 3 years now.

My Ideal Person I want to meet friends who have a somewhat similar background/mindset so nothing has to be hidden. This way, with all the honesty up front, any kind of relationship can get off on the right foot. My goal is to make friends first, and if anything else develops, we will let it take its course. But one thing I am firm about: I don't meet guys who are married and looking to play on the side. I don't want to be a part of them going out on their spouse behind their back. I'm sorry if your wife isn't giving you what you need, but I'm not the one to help with that.

Basically I am looking for someone who is not too much out of balance on their height/weight proportions. But I’m really not attracted to those who are at either extreme – either the gym rats who love mirrors and only want to be with other Kens and Barbies, or, for lack of a better PC term, “fat” people. I want a prospective friend to share a desire for a healthier lifestyle, and eating processed and junk foods simply aren’t a part of that. I also can’t get into guys shaving their heads or bodies. For gals, shaving’s ok either way. Most of the time I don’t either – depends on the situation. I love hair anywhere nature intended it.

I do have to say upfront that I don’t like being around smokers, so I’m sorry if that means you – nothing personal. Both of my parents died of smoking-related illnesses, and one of my siblings is going down the same path. I don’t like the smell, the taste or the cough that comes along with it. I respect your right to do that to yourself, but I don’t want to be a part of it, so I want you to know that right up front. I drink on rare occasion (sweet drinks) and don’t mind if you do as well, as long as it’s not to excess. And being a child of the ‘60s and ‘70s, I am open to a little herbage as well.
