Yes, I know this comes up every few months and then goes down in flames, but why not try again. We just have to realize that it can start small and grow over time. Even if it starts with 3 or 4 people, after that others will see that it exists and it'll grow. Sooooooo, let's pick a public place and just have a few casual drinks. That way there's no pressure at all and it's easy to bail or stay incognito vs. having to show up at someone's house. I'll be happy to help organize, keep a mailing list, whatever.
