In a relationship you need two things:
trust and communication.
If you have neither,
then you don't have a relationship.
You have a project that just creates unnecessary stress. |
People are always writing/saying stuff like that and I always wonder if the people reading it know how to do either.
Growing up the way I did, lets just say I needed alot of info  and luckily I have great instincts.
This is written in reference to women but it can apply to all kinds of relationship both genders.
If you have any projects that are creating unnecessary stress in your life or if you have come to a cross road about someone in your life I truly hope this may bring some peace or answers to you 
Building trust
Trust doesn’t just naturally happen between two people, even if they love each other. It takes work and if you’ve been hurt in the past, it can be especially difficult. Building trust takes time, you need to show your partner that you are trustworthy and that you trust them in return. If your partner has trouble trusting, you can do a lot to create an environment where trust can grow. Listen to your partner, respect him and his opinions, and accept him as he is. Reveal parts of your own history, show him that you trust him and you will help him to do the same. If you are vulnerable it helps your partner to feel that he is safe to be vulnerable as well.
Don’t rush it. If you truly love your partner and want what’s best for him, you’ll wait. If you’re in a relationship with someone you feel you can’t trust, don’t ignore it. If you have trouble trusting anyone, you might want to seek counseling before you run away from what could be a great relationship. Your past does affect your ability to trust. However, if trust hasn’t been a problem for you in the past and your gut is telling you to protect yourself from this guy, take it as a warning. Take a close look at who he is, how he treats others and how he treats you. Your gut may be giving you good information.
Honest communication
Trust opens the door to honest communication. You can’t communicate honestly if you’re always second-guessing how your partner will react and rephrasing your thoughts to fit in with his agenda. Communication takes concentration. In her article, “Why Can’t We Communicate?” Geri Forsberg , Ph.D., outlines the five steps to effective communication:
1. Ask questions. Don’t assume you understand what a person means. Once you ask a few questions, it doesn’t take long to really find out what he really means.
2. Listen. To become a better communicator, you must be willing to listen so you can understand the other person’s perspective.
3. Observe and be willing to verify the information you receive.
4. Let people know what you are thinking by sharing it. By disclosing information about yourself, it aids the other person in understanding who you are and how you are understanding them.
5. Remember that love covers a multitude of sins. If your motives are wanting to understand people and accept them for who they are, then communication will be easier. But if you set out to convince them that your way is the right way, then that’s not communication. And that’s not love.

I have hot ones, sweet ones and I am trying out a new recipe for some spicy honey mustard ones today and a fruit~n~veggie tray.

It seems winter has finally paid us a visit this weekend. We didn't get more than a dusting of snow but everything is covered in ice and it is freezing out there !!!
All I know is that I can not wait for Spring to arrive.
You have no idea how much I miss it.
I may not be able to warm myself in the loving rays of the sun but I can warm myself with some comfort food.
So today I am making a huge batch of Beefy Veggie soup Italian style. My Grandma would make a huge batch of it every year and invite everyone over to enjoy at least once a year.
Needless to say I haven't enjoyed any since she passed away.
Of course, I will change it up a bit but mostly it will be plain ole fashioned beef veggie soup.
I do want to put some zucchini and turn ups in it but my hubby say no way, those things don't go in veggie soup
I explained to him people in the south put it in theirs.
They also put okra but I cant stand okra unless it's fried to a crisp..
Listen to me talking about food. I can't help it,
when I think all of my Grandma's, which I did this morning..
I had four of them, I always start thinking about food.
My Mom didn't teach me to cook, she said her nerves couldn't take it but all my Grandmas made sure I knew how to cook.
I think I will make some homemade parker house rolls to go with it and maybe some apple cobbler for dessert, to honor all of them, you see each dish was taught to me by a different Grandma.
Heck, I might even call some relatives I haven't seen in awhile and invite them over.. we shall see.

What a weekend of football it's going to be !!
Since our Manning is out, I am cheering on the other one !
GO GIANTS !!
have they been hot or what !!
as far as the other championship game well I refuse to cheer on the patriots so its the Ravens I'm rooting for.
All I know is these have been the best playoff games in years and I hope the games this Sunday live up to them.
There has been alot of changes going on with our franchise, the Colts, they keep saying the new direction of this franchise and now there is a rumor that I am sure you all heard about, that Peyton is retiring  the only reason I am giving this rumor merit is in the past the rumors that were heard turned out to be close to the truth.. and this statement of new direction really makes one think..
If he retires it will be a great loose to football... I will definitely be mourning his retirement just like I did when Dungy left us.

It seems as though there just not enough hours in a day lately.. sighs..
My hubby's work hours have been changed and multiplied, this has thrown my house in chaos now I love being spontaneous but please I need my routines in order to run my life and my home efficiently.
I became addicted to schedules/routines while raising my sons, they both have ADHD and are aspies and they truly only thrive with a schedule that they can count on.. I am so glad that they are older, our lives would be even more stressful about now if they were still young..
I have also been bombarded by teenagers about every other day
My eldest has moved out !! why he did is a blog unto itself.. but he and his roommates keep stopping by and of course it's around meal times or my blog time.. geeze but what do I do, they gotta have a decent meal every once in awhile. My cooks thats not why he keeps coming over nope he knows how much money it takes to pay the bill and put good food on the table. Another thing they come over for is the internet, they can't afford that either
He called one one night all worked up saying omg mom, I am having internet withdraw !
Another thing that is taking up all my "me" time is our pit bull named buddy. Ever since our other passed away all he would do once it became dark outside was bark his head off. We let it go on for a week and he continued, so we decided to bring him and make him a house dog.. When it comes to most things he does pretty good but there are a couple of behaviors that I am spending massive time working with him on. If he doesnt catch on soon we have to get rid of him, so I am working my butt off with him. I hope he doesnt acidentally hurt me like he did a couple of years ago, as in hurting my back not biting or anything.
So there ya go, it was not anything dramatic or depressing that have been keeping me away.
