I just watched a tv show that reminded me of something...

I don't consider myself a shallow person at all. As a semi-pro photographer I like to think I can see beauty in almost everything. They say that one man's trash is another man's treasure and I suppose that's kind of the way I like to look at things.
It's all a matter of perspective isn't it? I think society kind of trains us to think that perfection is beautiful, and that everything else... well... just ordinary and plain and maybe even ugly.
Such a load of dingoes kidneys I say. Some people are just blind to true beauty, and miss out on all the truly interesting things in life.
So, this being my guiding principle, what the hell am I doing on Passion? It is the exact opposite to my own way of thinking. It is this frustratingly limited microcosm of self-involvement and elitism.
So, you're Ugly Betty but you only want to fuck George Clooney? Get real.
I'm in the wrong place.

I admit it... I'm addicted to the Canon L series. Once you've used an L there's no going back

Had a couple of weeks in Canberra and Sydney. Spent most of the time taking photos. Some really nice scenery in the ACT and I cme away with some really excellent panoramas.
Things have been a bit slow on the relationship front. Absolutely not ready for something permanent, but somebody to hang out with occasionally would be nice. I better get my A into G or something.

A lot of changes today.
A relationship ended (sadly) but I have hopes for the future. Meeting somebody new is always exciting and scary and makes you feel like a teenager (but without the pimples perhaps  ). I think I'm probably up for some fun before I leap into things too soon and get serious.
A job change also with a lot of unknowns. it feels right though and sometimes you have to go along with your gut instincts.
I have a photoshoot lined up tomorrow night, and it'll be my first decent set with my new glass.
