Has customer service gotten worse? Or am I being a crotchety old man? I was going to blame it on the young folks, but I realized that there seems to be customer service folks of all ages. It must be the corporate "attitude" that is encouraging this. When I do run into a good, helpful people, it is almost a pleasant shock. Sometimes, even getting someone to answer the phone is a task . I even had one representative curse at me, I bet his supervisor was a bit upset when I canceled the $9,000 order . I made sure to send that to ever email address I found for the company. What are your recent experiences? Overall would you rate customer service as good, bad or indifferent?

Now days after you go thru an endless menu of numbers and then finally end up with someone from another country that you can't hardly understand...

The companies that outsource customer service do not have customers' best interests at heart. Then there's Bank of America. Not possible EVER to speak to a human no matter what country they are in. I canat wait to be done with them
The markets her fro food two of them have horrible staff and cashiers and one of them is so top notch they could give lesson to the rest of the corporate world. I have made sure to let their managers know of both instances. The good ones deserve to be recognized

Worst. I think who ever these people work for just don’t care anymore about anything. Which in turns shows the workers they don’t care. Good it wasn’t just me that thought it was getting worst. Hugs V

It does seem that customer service isn't as good as it used to be, I think only certain people are cut out for this type of work. I know I am and did it for many years and I got awards, and my bosses were always happy with my work. Sorry to hear you had to cancel that order, and I bet the Supervisor was quite upset as that's one huge order to loose. I hope your enjoying your weekend..

I avoid making phone calls so I don't have to deal with their customer service department, lol. I'll do everything I can via email.

But in person...maybe it's living in the south, but I don't run into rude people...they are actually usually pretty chatty and friendly.
