Font Sizes, Most Recent Comments by Others - and more...

There's some issues with the redesign that I think everyone would like an update on. Below are the bugs we are fixing that are related to the redesign.
Top two are:
1) Fixing the small font sizes (currently they all default to 12pt no matter what you put in)
2) Getting Most Recent Comments by Other section back.
Here's what's getting fixed:
I've added the bug numbers for those that want to follow up later with me or customer service.
FIXED 11/28 - CD-6488 Passion Blogs - Missing "Most Recent Comments by Others" section
FIXED 12/1 CD-6482 Passion Blogs - Redesign doesn't honor my selected font size
FIXED 11/28 CD-6511 Passion Groups and Blogs - Bullets don't show up correctly and carriage return doesn't create a new paragraph in Groups
FIXED 12/1 CD-6478 Passion: Blog/Group Post - Poor spacing/cell padding makes it difficult to read, quote and respond to comments
FIXED 11/29 CD-6475 Passion: My Stuff - link to my blog incorrect takes me to Blog main
FIXED 11/23 - CD-6062, and CD-6456: Fix profile "rather not say" in drugs and sexual orientation.

Bling - Is it Going Away?

No.
Bling is NOT going away. The only change coming in the near future is that you won't be able to use Bling as a background for your profile.
There is concern because of 2 reasons:
1) We are redesigning the navigation on the site. Many of you have already tested it out. In that redesign there wasn't a clear section or link to Bling on the main page. We'll put a link to Bling into the new Community section. Point is, you'll still be able to get to it.
2) Bling is being removed from profile backgrounds. So are custom colors. These options are still available for groups, signatures, blogs...everywhere you could use them before.
When do Blings go away from my profile background?
You can expect that this change will happen before the clock strikes 2012. If you have Bling in the background of your profile, it will simply go away.
I'll give you a long heads up before this happens. Hope this helps clear up some of the questions about what's happening to Bling. I know people are concerned.

56% of Active Women Have Their Content Filter Turned On

I just found this out. Frankly, I'm shocked. This means that 56% of women turn ON the filter so they can NOT see X rated photos. It's off by default btw. It would probably be higher if more members looked for it.
Are the waves of penis pics as main profile pics the culprit here? Help me understand.

Filters for Women

If you could put any filters onto search, flirt, cupid settings - what would you want? What filters would you like to have on who can reach you or who you want to see in search?
The feeling over here is that with any new or updated product, we should start incorporating some of the ideas women have come to us with.
My List So Far:
1) Filter for married men
2) Filter for men with no photo
3) Filter for men with penis pic as main profile pic
4) Filters by location (no one in X miles from my location can see me)
What else?
I'm focusing on women here, but I'd love to hear from Men, Couples, TS/TG/TV and Gay as well. What filters would you like to have on who can reach you or who you want to see in search?

We're Having Blocking Member Issues

UPDATE: FIXED 8/29 around 2:30 PM Pacific
In short - You pretty much can't block a member on the site right now.
What's the issue?:
1) Adding a member to your blocked member list - Not all the checkboxes you select are staying checked once it saves. It seems that the member is added to your blocked member list, but not with all the blocks you put in place
2) Making changes to your current Blocked Member List - When you try to save a change, the save icon just spins and never takes.
3) You also can't delete a member from the Blocked Member List, because you can't save changes.
It's bug #CD-4335. We usually don't push fixes on Fridays, but this one seems justified. I'll post here when we have an update.

We Agree With You - Find a Hookup Is Out

We got together today and reviewed your feedback. We unanimously agree that "Find a Hookup" was not a good idea and it's been thrown out the window.
So, what do we want it to be then? Search has issues because there are search boxes all over our site, it's not specific enough. We should take the opportunity to come up with something better.
Leave a comment with your suggestions - I'll put up a poll later this week and we can vote for the most popular one.
I'll admit I'm drawing a blank on ideas here, but some suggestions:
- Search Members
- Find Members
- Connect
- Date
- Fuck Dirty Right Now <kidding! kind of>
