Yesterday my profile was allegedly viewed five times. However, when I went to see who looked I found what were clearly fake profiles - stunningly gorgeous, little or no profile information, and distances from me of well over 1,000 miles. Only reason I'm mentioning this is because last Thursday the same thing happened eight times!! Was just curious if anyone else was receiving regularly-scheduled fake views.
Wondering what the total will be next week.....lol

Six Months On Passion

Can't believe it's been six months since I joined Passion. The experience thus far has not been anything like what I expected. The reviews of this site were all pretty favorable in terms of meeting people for NSA, FWB, or whatever other alphabet soup is out there. That has not been the case for me, but the unexpected plus was meeting several very nice people through the blogs and enjoying some great conversations. For that I am very glad I decided to keep coming here.
As for the future? Well, my expectations of meeting someone for a sexual relationship have been revised downward immensely. There are many women here looking for a certain someone, and experience suggests that the "certain someone" will not be me. Don't get me wrong - I am NOT looking for pity. Just saying that writing blogs and participating in blog conversations has turned out to be what Passion truly has to offer (at least for me). To all the people I have met and talked to, a very huge "Thank You" for making time here such a delight.  Here's looking to what another six months might bring....

Tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 the Temple Owls will play the Penn State Nittany Lions in their annual football match. The rivalry has been completely one-sided - Penn State has won every game as far back as I can remember. Temple didn't help their cause by letting the football program collapse in the 90's and 2000's, but over the last 5-7 years things have turned around thanks to some stronger commitment. Will it be enough to end a winless drought that goes back decades? Here's an Owl fan that hopes so. Go Temple!!
PS - yes, I realize that any slim chance I may have had with any woman from Penn State just got shot to hell. LOL

About 2 months ago I started chatting with someone here in Passion. Things seemed okay - I wasn't looking for anything beyond chat, and was really enjoying the conversation. She seemed like a very nice lady. Then the chat stopped, and she deactivated her profile. No notice, no nothing - just here one day and gone the next.
I really don't understand this site. Women's profiles are full of lines like "if you want to know something about me, just ask" or "I'm hear to chat". Then you try and contact them. Most of the time you'll get no response, and the few times that you do it's only a matter of time before it just abruptly stops, with no explanation.
Most of the time I take the high road, and am thankful for the people I have met. Every once in a while, though, the rude nature of some people on this site gets to me and I have to vent. Today is just one of those days.

Staying at the Jersey shore this week - Ocean City, NJ to be specific. So far it's been a great time!! The weather is gorgeous - no clouds to be seen anywhere. I think it's supposed to get a little cooler as the week goes on, so being at the beach itself might not be as appealing, but there's the boardwalk, bike-riding, and other stuff to do. Might head to Atlantic City for a bit, but need to find out which casinos are still there.

Farewell To Steve The Cat

Probably not the right place to be talking about this, but need to get it out of my system, so hope no one minds. Our cat Steve died last night. He was 18 years old.
We've had Steve since March of 1999. We got him through a pet adoption agency. Our , who was four then, picked him out and named him Steve after the host of the 's show Blue's Clues (her favorite show at the time).
Steve was a real "people cat". He'd jump up in anyone's lap to be petted, and he would meet us at the door when we came home from school or work. We used to joke that he was really a in a cat costume. My personal favorite memory was when he would jump up on the dining room table to keep me company when I balanced the check book every month.
There's already a void in the house that's impossible to ignore or miss. Sixteen and a half years is a long time. It's especially tough on the . As I mentioned, our was 4 years old when we got him. Our was only 18 months old. They really don't know what life is like without him. What's important now is for my wife and I to be strong for them for as long as it takes.
Steve will be missed, and he will be loved. To the Passion community - thanks for indulging this post.

Was told it would be nicer to have a picture where I'm smiling. BTW - I like the way new pictures in albums get "pending approval" under them. Really - on this site they're worried about picture content?? LOL

Listening to "Southern Cross" by Crosby, Stills, and Nash. There's something about this song that says "summer". Every time I hear it I think of sitting on the beach, relaxing in the back yard, buying a hammock....
Anyone else have a favorite summer song?
