A little less clutter
A little more space
I just spent a full day going through three boxes of "stuff so valuable I had to pack it up, pay for storage and handle it several times" only for it to end up shredded and dumped into the dumpster.
The worse part about this whole issue is that I realize now there are more boxes just like the ones I emptied still in the storage container.
Seriously looking at what I keep and the reason I keep it.
Another example of the changes in how I live now: Hand lotion and cream used to be something I would just go and pick up if I wanted regardless of how much I still had at home. Well now, guess what? I have, count them, eighteen different kinds of lotion from bottles with pumps to tubes that need to be squeezed. I have fast drying lotion and lotions that will remain on the skin for hours. It is going to take me years to finally use up what I have assuming no one gets me more for my birthday or Christmas.
I also decided to start a website that will give away or sell for, oh say a dollar, those items I no longer need but are still in some good use. Find someone who wants what I have and they just pay for the shipping. Those VHS Disney tapes are on the short list for things to get rid of. This would not be to make money but to eliminate items and continue to reduce.
Better get back to it while I am on this roll.
*she looks at the next box, takes a deep breath and takes the top off...*
Time to get back to the shredding. The trash is picked up in the morning at eight.

Recording in a Public Place

Okay, so on Friday nights I go to the Senior Center and sing Karaoke with all the people there. Yes. Yes.. I know.. WHAT you go WHERE on a FRIDAY NIGHT! well, that tells you just how exciting my life is. Anyway, there are many there who are great singers and could actually give shows or record music. Then there are those who can not hold a tone to save their souls. Some come for therapy such as the people who have had head injury or were in accidents. I see progress in each one of these people. I fall into the "wish I had a day job to say that I will not quit it for the music business" kind of voice. BUT I am entertaining when I sing. The last week they enjoyed "Sweet Transvestite" from Rocky Horror Picture Show. I have done several others such as "My Ding-a-ling" by Chuck Berry and "The Streak" by ... uh.. sheesh, mind blank here... anyway you get the idea. My energy seems to be what they enjoy not my voice. (Or maybe it is the cake I bring most of the time). I digress
I like to record those who like to be recorded and post them onto youtube so they have a video to send to their families that is updated showing them having a wonderful time. There is one women who does not want to be recorded. Myself and several others who do record have told her we will not record when she is singing. She turns her back to us when she sings.. (Believe me when I say that there is NO reason TO record her). She actually went up to the front desk and complained about recording. Now, I know a little about recording law. The facility has cameras in each room for security and monitoring purposes. It is a public facility. The majority has no problem or wants the recording. She is basically out of luck and I have the right to record what I wish. However, I am a bit considerate and do not want to cause her any undue stress as I believe she might be missing a few bricks in her load. Yet I want to do what I want to do!
I thought of posting a sign when I am recording that states "recording in progress, enter at your own risk" kind of thing, but again, is that too bold? Do I need to take her into consideration when making my decision to record another?
sheesh..

Homemade Cheesecake

Yes, I can bake too...
This was my first attempt at cheesecake. Oh the horror stories I heard.
Yet, look at that piece of pie. I used ginger snaps for the crust instead of graham crackers.
Most of it is frozen now as I just can not eat all of it at once!

I FOUND IT!!
I FOUND IT!!!!!
He asked it I still had my rings
I was surprised he remembered such things
Those rings were in my jewelry box
Which was hidden in my socks
That box was on the left in the back
Right on the bottom of the stack
Behind the socks and stockings and garter
Opening that box could not be harder
It was stuck from non use
Opening it was close to hand abuse
But it finally gave way
Two small rings on display
I used to wear nipple rings
Oh how I loved those things
The feeling was intense and dreamy
Usually making me a bit creamy
But back to the issue at hand
Some how one ring I did not see land
Lost somewhere I had no way to know
Outside, inside, where did I go?
I wore them that day to remember the feel
Yes it was again, rings are the real deal
Giggled like a kid that day
Felt alive and in play
That evening I went to remove that ring
Oh what a shock one did not cling
Lost it was of that I was certain
So, one ring was returned it's final curtain
But today when I cleaned my floor
The vaccum light hit a glint of someting more
Could it be my little ring?
YES it was that shy thing
Now do I say that I found the ring?
Or do I not say anything?
Is a surprise the best for all?
Or is it better to make a call?
Problems, problems, problems!!!
