 I can't believe I have an actual comment after reading this but what part of socialistic policies being good for them don't people get? To your point , they're so used to having everything handed to them they act like roads and fire, police etc. are just there. Not actually a part of government being a good thing.
I was at an anti Trump rally earlier this year and there was a group of Libertarians nearby with their "We hate government and Love Ron Paul" signs and propaganda. There was this one young fellow spouting about why should he have to pay taxes (lol...I'm sure he was unemployed) for a government he doesn't support. I so wanted to go up and ask him how he got to the rally and tell him he should be very thankful for the police behind us because they were the only thing keeping me from jamming a pencil in his ear!
