And Sam? You 30 year old men will have a much lower success rate at marriage , if any of your generation decide to marry. For one thing, marriage is a social interpersonal union with another person. Your generation, having grown up with electronic communications, have poorer interpersonal relationship skills. So if your gen decides to get married, don't expect it to last much longer than 4 to 8 years, maybe less. It was no happy decision that Gays/Lesbians were given the right to get married. It had to be done. The heterosexual community is fading away from marriage, rapidly. ...LOL... Divorce lawyers need to make their money somehow.

Of course, no relationship is perfect, but a healthy, functioning marriage can provide stress and anxiety relief in many different forms: encouraging each other to strive for healthier goals (think: quitting binge drinking, eating healthier, going after that dream job), complimenting each other's positive qualities and celebrating each other's successes. Marriage is a legal contract between a boyfriend and a girlfriend, essentially, or.... an arranged situation. If you have a good relationship with a woman in your life, you can accomplish your list without signing a legal contract of union. Although you should have done all that BEFORE getting into a relationship, because if you don't , you just become another burden. And of course, as you said, "No relationship is perfect". That is the same as saying, "Not every parachute is going to deploy",....... so really bad idea to get married nowadays.

I said, "Yes", but is it wise for a man to get married? ....No. Not anymore. You cannot conceive the many without the one.
