I think that porn portrays women in an unrealistic light and some men are brain washed into thinking all women are basically permissive sex objects. We all watch, enjoy and sometimes copy what we see in porn, but it's important to respect women and differentiate between fact and fantasy.

I watch fast and furious 1 to 7 not because I want to imitate the drivers driving fast cars. Similarly I watch Batman beat the crap out of the bad guys and yet I am against violence. There are many different kinds of pornographic movies. Some feature women being degraded by men and other women. Some feature men being degraded by women and other men. Some feature no degradation whatsoever. Someone categorizing all pornographic materials as degrading without having experienced a wide range of the different varieties available is simply making an uninformed generalization. As a simple "for instance," look at all the cam girl sites. These girls are taking charge and doing what they want to do. No one is degrading them, and they certainly aren't degrading themselves, unless they choose to do so.

Women in the porn industry are basically there because they have found a place that fits there sexual needs and wish to do so and experience that. And they get paid a whole shit load of money. Their acting in a lot of cases leaves a lot to be desired though.
