I can't imagine you choosing anything but a red of some sort. Maybe a crimson, but still.. in that range. I also envision you singing Sinatra..."I Did It My Way". Smart as a horse and hung like Einstein.

Which just reminds me Corky dearest, I must add you to my Xmas card list. Now if my letter to Santa gets delivered with a single line address "North Pole", will my card arrive in your letterbox if I simply address it:- To. Ms Corky, Exeter? I know! I must have about fifty or more nail polishes, but when I get a few colours I really like to wear, I tend to stick with them for a while before seeing some more colours that I simply must have. You know, life or death "must have" situation, hahaha. After reading your blog, and seeing all the colours, it's just confused me  I'm about to paint my nails and now I've looked through all the colours I have, and omg I'm like a fat kid in a candy store  "I'm always disappointed when a liar's pants don't actually catch on fire..."

You know all that fishing tackle you bought that you've never used nor are you ever likely to? Okay, you're a girl, you'll never know that particular delight. Anyways, that tackle is usually fluorescent pink, yellow or orange. Those are my favourite colours. Go for on of those? Lovely wee post as ever McCorker.............lov yer prose too tae!

Classic red is always a good nail varnish colour. I like this approaching time of the year too. I'm started to get excited about Xmas; I've even written my present list for Santa!

I have to admit that I rarely wear nail polish....I prefer just to buff my nails. I have found inspiration and love in the strangest of places in my life. Christmas is my favourite time too. I love everything about it....there is just something magical in the air. ~~Anais Nin~~

Inspiration, beauty and LOVE are everywhere and all we need to do is to be receptive, be open to see it Sing it sister Nail colour mmm Vermilion is nice but doesn't all this artifice require consideration of ones complexion mmmmm I saw a girl with blue nails the other day not sure how ones complexion is taken into account maybe its the outfit  I guess whatever shuffles your shells Passion lots of women seem to be going with dark colours lately with a random colour thrown in.Wow I was wondering what possibly I could say about nail colours and I found a whole paragraph of waffle  ......thanks for that lol. Oh heavens! I haven't read the comments thread, (which I normally like to do 'cos they are often so interesting, especially when they diverge from the original context of a post) because this post has got the number of comments it deserves and I simply don't have time! What a really good post. Uplifting, thought-provoking, and nice writing too. The city was alive and sparkling like a rich jewel. Ahh those scraps of paper! I try to have a notebook in every pocket. If I let myself think through the words too much in my head without writing them down then I often find that the inspiration is gone when I sit down to write. But the scraps of paper can usually bring it back to mind. You know, I like to think of myself as a "glass half full" kind of guy. I get down sometimes, but not usually for long. And yes, I like to see the beauty even in the broken pieces of tin roof and the scrub grass growing in the cracks in the torn up tarmac. But one thing you wrote here made me think. Wherever life came from - whether you are a follower of science, religion, hearsay, tradition or a mixture of all of the above - life really is a gift. What a gift. I have a gift someone I love gave me once for my birthday, and I use it most weeks, and every time I use it I think of that person and the thought and love which went into it, and I love using it all the more because of that. I guess I knew that life is like that too, but this morning you reminded me of that fact in a very vivid way. Oh, nail colour......Well, when I was younger I always used to like pink on a girls nails. Deep red is sexy and gorgeous, but I sometimes find it a little daunting - almost too sophisticated for me. Black is sooooo horny in that gothic fetish area I have. And the skanky girls on the checkout in the supermarket are all following the fashion of having a pattern of some kind with more than one colour painted on their nails. So for you.........I think probably a blood red crimson, or maybe......... how about a deep purple, with maybe the faintest hint of a glint here and there, like an evening star just coming out under a stormy sunset?
