Life is Awesome or Sucks? I was recently reading a friends blog and she was talking about how her twenty's have really kinda sucked. I gotta tell ya, my twenty's were pretty rough, dealing with being in the army for a few years then going to college. Sheesh college was like stepping into the click world again when I had left it after high school. Yes I did well in college but the people there weren't what I had expected at all, and with any luck I won't deal with any of them again. I consider myself a pretty laid back guy trying not to judge a person by what they look like or how old they are, but by how they interact with me and others. If a person is cool with me and I see they are cool with others, I'll think highly of them, but those that talk shit about people take a step way down on my list and I typically don't want to deal with any of that. I can make my own decisions about who I like and don't like. My late 20's and the first half on my 30's I worked out in the oil fields as a deep sea diver/underwater welder/pipe fitter and did a lot of underwater ditch digging! It was a rough life being away from home most of the year out at sea and the pay isn't anywhere near what I thought it would be, but still after doing that for years I got out and can afford to life here in Gods country. Now I have my own company that I really enjoy and the people that come in here are almost always happy that they are on vacation. I have the best dog (in my opinion) in the world. Living here in the north woods I don't have any smog in the air, but instead crisp clean air where I can smell the pines. I wake up in the morning and look out at the lake and can smile, while taking my cup of coffee down to the dock sitting on my pontoon boat and listen to the loons call out there. Yes I'm not married yet and really don't have any one that I'm super interested in but I'm not all that worried about it. That I'm sure will come in time. So in closing I was wondering if you all have found that in your lives, have you found that you have had a few bumps and still love going on or are you having bumps or have you decided to just say the hell with it and just continue bopping along on the wrong road with nothing good on the horizon? |

Why does it take us so long to realize that life was NOT meant to be so hard!?in my 20's i rushed around ...college, friends that dont see anymore,work ,having a good time ... late 20s ..getting married kids career, home, new friends...! now im in the shadows of turning 40 and it seems like why did i rush.. why was i in such a damn hurry to get everything ...? Remember when 40 was old ? i dont feel old !!!!! Am i old ? i really believe age is a number...i dont wanna die being old ....i wanna die at a young age of 80 or 90. i wanna die 4 wheelin in the mountains, downhill skiing, or (u got it right Snoopy) sitting on my dock listening to the loons call. Does life suck? or is it awsome? Life is awsome!!! where else in the world can i wake up to screaming kids, dogs chewing on my shoes, hubby bitchin, dishes in the sink, work to do ....? Jes about anywhere ... and i chose the most beautiful place in the word ... and i get up every morning and thank God for allowing me to do so .! Snoopy ..we all have bumps its how u choose to treat those bumps !! there is a plan for each and every one of us. Just make sure ur listening as ur bopping along!!!!

If no one had any of those bumps life would be boring. Those bumps are what make us who we are. Even if we sometimes feel like giving up on some days. It's those friends we find that help us through those times. Snoopy you are a good guy. Always be yourself
